Cassandra Abbley

Cassandra Abbley is the WHSE and Risk Global Manager at Eku Energy and leads the WHSE, Sustainability and Risk Management strategies for the business. Since joining Eku in 2023, Cass has collaborated across Eku’s operations to develop and implement fit for purpose WHSE and Risk frameworks, whilst driving a culture of risk awareness and building WHSE internal capability.

Previously, Cass has held WHSE and Risk roles, initially in consulting firms within Australia / NZ, before moving to an in-house role with a Real Estate and Infrastructure Investment Management and Development organisation across APAC with a total portfolio value of US$156B under management. During this time Cass, developed extensive experience in aligning operational risk management with commercial priorities, achieving measurable improvements in safety outcomes across high-risk operations and implementing assurance programs across culturally diverse workplaces.

Cass holds a Bachelor in Health Sciences, Ergonomics, Health and Safety, is a Health, Safety and Environment Lead Auditor and trained in Managing and Leading Change from Melbourne Business School.
